Shifts

The Shifts section allows you to create, manage, and organize shift assignments across your business locations. You can create individual shifts, assign contractors, and also use the Bulk Add feature to generate multiple shifts over a date range.

🕒 Creating a New Shift​

To manually create a new shift:

  1. Click Create Shift
  2. Fill in the following details:
    • Start Time / End Time: The time window of the shift.
    • Business: Choose the business associated with the shift.
    • Location: Choose a location under that business.
    • Slots: Number of contractors needed for this shift.
    • Assign Contractors: Select one or more contractors to fill available slots.
    • Special Rate (optional): Toggle and enter a custom rate if this shift pays differently than the default location rate.

If the number of contractors selected matches the slot count, the shift will be fully assigned.

📦 Bulk Add Shifts​

Use the Bulk Add button at the top of the shift list to quickly generate multiple shifts at once.

How It Works​

This tool creates multiple shifts by combining a:

  • Date range
  • Start/End time
  • Days of the week
  • Contractor selection

Steps:​

  1. Click Bulk Add

  2. Fill out the form:

    • Business and Location
    • Start Time and End Time
    • Start Date and End Date
    • Contractors to assign (optional)
    • Slots needed per shift
    • Days of the Week (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

  3. Click Submit

The system will create a shift for each matching day between the start and end date. If contractors are selected, they will be automatically assigned and marked as "assigned".

⚠️ The slot count will auto-update to match the number of contractors selected.

📋 Shift Table Overview​

The table displays the following for each shift:

SlotsShows assigned vs total slots (e.g., 2 / 3)

🔍 Filters​

You can filter shifts using:

  • Timeframe: Future, Past, or All
  • Business and Location
  • Custom Date Range: Start and End date filters

🛠️ Actions​

  • Edit: Modify a shift and its details
  • Delete (Bulk): Remove multiple selected shifts at once

This tool helps schedulers streamline shift creation and ensure all contractors are assigned according to location and availability.
